The nature of work experience has also changed a lot in recent years. Students increasingly need opportunities that work for them; experiences that connect them with the right information, and employers, at the right time.

This is where Springpod’s experiences can have such a profound impact. From Virtual Work Experiences with top health and care organisations to Subject Spotlights with leading universities and world-class academics, students can build their experience and explore subject interests so they can make informed decisions about their next steps.

At Springpod, all experiences are self-led and flexible. They vary in length but can be completed at times that suit your child. Each experience comes with a certificate of completion, which is a great addition to CVs. Over 500,000 students are using Springpod to complete exciting experiences which build experience, develop skills, and strengthen future applications.

Springpod’s experiences usually take 2-8 hours to complete and are open to all students aged 13 and above. Completely free, they offer students an opportunity to connect with leading organisations to help them understand what opportunities exist.

As a parent or carer, it can be helpful to explain to students the benefits of work experience and the convenience of virtual work experiences with Springpod. How students use this service

Create an account

Go to springpod.com and click Create account. Complete the sign-up process.

Search and apply for work experience

Students can search and apply for work experience here.

Receive your confirmation email

Once you have applied for a programme, you will be sent an email confirming next steps. If the programme is on-demand you can start straight away.

The experience should appear on your dashboard by clicking on ‘My Virtual Work Experience’. You simply log in and start completing or resume. You choose the time when you would like to take part although do make a note of any live webinars scheduled. You can watch these recorded if needed.
